What is Great Little Spots? 


Great Little Spots is a program that incentivizes you to spend local first, and in turn, support your community and local economy.

What makes Great Little Spots different from other shop local initiatives? 


Great Little Spots is the first shop local initiative that INCENTIVIZES consumers to shop local ALL THE TIME. With the Great Little Spots card, you get 20% more value every time you add money to your Great Little Spots card. Not at just one merchant, not just during a certain time period, not just on certain items. 20% more value every time to be used as payment at ALL the Spots, ALL the time, on ALL their merchandise.

How does the card work? 


The Great Little Spots card is a pre-paid and re-loadable card in which whatever amount of money you spend to load onto your card you will receive an additional 20% of value. So, for example, if you pay $100, you will get $120 to use as payment at ALL participating Great Little Spots.

Does the card cost anything? 


No, the card itself is free. You can load onto the card any amount you want and Great Little Spots will throw in an additional 20% of value.

Do the merchants give me 20% off? 


No, the merchants charge you the ticket price of their items. You get your additional 20% of value when you load money onto your card.

Do I need a different card for Birmingham and Royal Oak? 


No, your ONE Great Little Spots card is good at ALL of the spots, regardless of which community they are in.

What types of Spots are in the program? 


Great Little Spots has quality, locally-owned merchants from all types of business segments in your community. Restaurants, spas and salons, boutiques, pet stores, dry cleaners, even law firms and household maintenance companies. The one thing that all the Spots have in common is that they are locally-owned and within the GLS communities we serve.

What if I don’t have enough money on my card to cover my bill?


You can add money to your card anytime on your phone or computer and you will always receive an additional 20% of value. If you do not want to add money while at the merchant, you can just pay the remaining balance with another form of payment.

Are tips included on the card?

No, gratuity is not included. So please take care of those that take care of you and come prepared to tip with cash.

Where do I get the card?

You can get and re-load your card at greatlittlespots.com. You can also buy new cards at Oliver’s Trendz and through some local schools and charitable organizations.
